Note:
All individuals residing in the city of Pawtucket and serving as the owner or
caregiver of a dog aged six months or older are required to obtain an annual
license for their canine companion.

How can I file for a dog license?

To file online:

Please email your dog’s Rabies Certificate to cityclerk@pawtucket.ri.

What do I need to obtain a dog license?

There is no application for a dog license, simply provide a copy of the dog’s
Rabies Certificate.

How do I renew a dog license?

An updated rabies certificate needs to be presented, only if the current one on file is expired.
Please submit in person, by mail, or e-mail when filing.

What is the cost of a dog license?

If your dog is not spayed/neutered: $26

If your dog is spayed/neutered: $16 

Senior Citizen Discount (Residents 65 years of age or older—must present proof of age):

If your dog is not spayed/neutered: $11

If your dog is spayed/neutered: $6

 

Note:
Please provide a copy of your dog’s certificate of spay/neuter to receive discount.
