To provide accurate and reliable financial reporting to the Mayor and his Administration,
Pawtucket City Council and its Committees, External Auditors, R.I. Department of Municipal Affairs, Bond Creditors, Taxpayers, and Residents, and the General Public.
The Director of Finance is responsible for: the payment of salaries, fees, and invoices; a collection of revenue and taxes; financial regulations and procedures; providing sound financial advice and information; preparation of annual budgets; review of financial systems and procedures; and ensuring the City of Pawtucket’s accounts, funds, and financial affairs comply with statutory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles.
